In Los Angelis Unified School District the controlling body, which issues calendar is called The Los Angelis Board of Education. When they issue calendar for 2009-2010 they have issued calendars for single-track, three-track and four-track schools.
The key dates for the school calendar for the traditional schools which are called single-track schools are as follows. The first day of instructions for the school is September 09, 2009. The second semester starts on February 08, 2010 and the schools end on June 24, 2010. The holidays are falling as follows. Independence Day on July 03, Labor Day on September 7, unassigned of September 28, veterans day of November 11 and Thanks Giving Days of November 26 and 27. Winter holidays are falling December 21, 2009 to January 8, 2010 ML Jr. Day falls on January 18, 2010. The Presidents day is February 15, 2010. The spring holidays will be from March 29 to April 2. Memorial Day is May 31 2010.
LAUSD issues a calendar of events too. This calendar is for the event in a program called network for healthy California. In this calendar they have organized marathons, walks to school, and marathons for kids etc.
There is another calendar of events which covers sports events. This covers all kinds of sports events such as foot ball games and tennis games etc.
There is another calendar of events in lauds. This is called the AEOE calendar of events. This is the Association of educational office employees, Los Angelis Unified School District. In this calendar of events they all the events pertaining to the employees of the Los Angelis Educational District. In this they have listed events like Board meetings, Administrative professionals’ dates, Boss’s day and other important dates for the staff.
