The newest digital camera to enter the market is magpix b350 binocular camera. The new innovative combination of a binocular and a camera has brought about this handy camera. For a casual traveler it looks an asset. Instead of carrying a camera and a pair of binoculars just take one made by combining the two.
We will hurry up to the technical details. Magapix b 350 has a fairly good resolution at 640 x 480 VGA and 320 x 240 QVGA. It has 8 MB of built in memory which is sufficient for 52 high resolution photographs. 33 mm f 4 lens. Is of course is not fast enough for professional but for a casual user it is more than enough for out door photography. It is USB ready and weighs only 230 grams and works with 2 AAA size 1.5v batteries. The amazing feature of this camera is its very high shutter speed of 1/8000 sec. which could easily freeze the rotor blades of a helicopter.
Just out of the box the b350 looks a nice little binocular looking just like its counterpart Pentax but at one third the price. Its rubber grips give a good grip and the two eye caps could be folded for the spectacle wearers.
Performance wise this cannot be compared to a good high resolution camera. If you want to take good photographs don’t go for this. Also if you are going to use the binoculars for bird watching or any other enthusiastic use, don’t go for this. If you think you need a cheap instrument to be taken with you on your walks or picnics this is the ideal gadget. The binocular and the camera combination which comes with a price tag of only $ 90. Remember similar one made by Pentax costs $ 300
